Also known as Hollyhock, this decidous shrub grows quickly to 2-4' tall with a spread of 1-3' wide. It has showy lavender summer flowers. This is an old time favorite to many gardeners as it finds its place against a wall, fence or at the back of a border. The lavender flowers are 3-6" wide and the petals are heart shaped with up to 6 blooms per stock.
Full sun, part sun, enjoys sandy well-drained soil, clay, tolerates acid. Great for mass planting, containers and borders. Zones 2-11
