This feather reed grass is one of the most popular ornamental grasses worldwide. It is beautiful, versatile, and nearly care-free. The deep green, lustrous foliage of this cool-season grower is effective by early spring and lasts into winter. Clump-forming and strictly upright, it produces 6' tall loosely feathered and subtly purple plumes. They remain upright and attractive through most of winter.
A stunning specimen, excellent screen, tolerates full sun or part shade. Grows best on well drained soil, tolerates heavy clay.
