This colorful shrub has amazing displays of flowers in dense spikes appearing most of the year. The leaves have a slight lemony flavor when crushed. The lemon bottlebrush is an evergreen shrub that thrives in heat, takes cold and can grow in most adverse soils, requires little water when established, needs good drainage and occasional deep watering. To use as a screen, plant every 4 to 6 feet. Trimming the upper part of the bush will be needed when the bottlebrush becomes older to keep the lower foliage. Grows 10-15' tall.
