This is an upright, dense growing (to 12' tall and about 10' wide) evergreen shrub/tree with single pink flowers that appear in a very strong flush in the spring as well as in the fall. It has tiny needlelike green leaves often tinged with burgundy (especially during cold temperatures). Very sought after by many bonsai enthusiast as well as for the landscape.
